INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE FESTIVAL
A COMPETITION FOR ALL
The CYPRUS BRIDGE FEDERATION has once again organised its annual Cyprus Bridge Festival. It is to take place once again in Limassol starting April 4th. As well as local talent, ther are several international bridge players from all over the world that will be attending. The five-day event will be taking place at the ATLANTICA MIRAMARE BEACH HOTEL.Â
REGISTRATION
The recent popularity of the game has quickly spread, and SEVERAL CLUBS are playing the game all over the island. With this in mind, participation for this year’s event is expected to be higher than in previous years. Players are advised to arrive early for registration, which will open on Friday, April 4th at 5.30 pm. Members of the CYPRUS BRIDGE FEDERATION receive a discount and will be charged €120 for each open pair and €40 for each member of an open team. Non-members will be charged €170 for each open pair and €60 for each member of an open team.Â
LET THE GAMES BEGIN
The competition will follow a format of open and relaxed pairs on the first three days of the festival. The first session will begin on Friday, April 4th at 6.00 pm. The second session then takes place on Saturday, April 5th at 5.00 pm and the third session will be held on Sunday, April 6th at 5.00 pm. The first session for the open teams takes place on Monday, April 7th at 5.00 pm with the second session taking place on Tuesday, April 8th at 3.00 pm. The prize-giving ceremony will then take place on the same day at 7.30 pm.Â
STAKE PRIZE FUNDS
The stake prize fund includes €3,000, as well as medals and a cup for the winners. The open team sessions take place on the final two days and also offer a stake prize fund of €3,000, as well as medals and a cup for the winners.
