Established in 1998, the Camel Park near the village of Mazotos, in the Larnaca region, is a fantastic family-run attraction that stands as the largest camel park in Europe and the only one of its kind in Cyprus.
FULL DAY OF FAMILY FUN
Bordering the village of Mazotos within the Larnaca district, the Camel Park is a highly rated animal theme park, offering a full day of family fun. Featuring a large petting zoo that houses camels, lemurs, donkeys, llamas, ostriches, and horses, this attraction also offers a dedicated children’s playground with swings and slides. There are also some scenic rides, along with an outdoor pool to cool off during hot days. The park, which also features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and designated accessible parking, has a restaurant on the premises serving refreshments and meals.
ANIMALS & CORE ATTRACTIONS
The park is home to up to 60 named camels, each with its own unique character. Visitors can purchase food on-site to hand-feed them or take a memorable 15-minute camel ride safari through the local countryside. Offering interactive feeding encounters, the park also houses a petting zoo that includes over 100 different animals. These include ostriches, wallabies, lemurs, llamas, alpacas, deer, ponies, donkeys, turtles, and various birds.Â
FACILITIES & AMENITIES
A standout feature of the park is its outdoor pool area, complete with sunbeds and umbrellas. This area is a perfect place for cooling off during hot summer days. The park also features a dedicated children’s playground with slides and swings, donkey and pony rides, and a miniature safari train. There is an excellent, reasonably priced on-site restaurant serving lunch and dinner, alongside a souvenir shop.
PRICING & HOURS
A minimal entry fee is applied for each adult visit to the park, which is open daily from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm. Concessions are available for children, and all entry fees include free access to the swimming pool. Minimal fees also apply to camel, pony and donkey rides.
