VARIOUS HIKING TERRAINS
Hiking across Cyprus usually involves tackling various regional segments rather than a single established coast-to-coast footpath. As a result, hikers have the option to cross diverse terrain, ranging from high-altitude paths located in the mountains to wild, untamed coastal areas such as the Akamas Peninsula.
Cyprus enjoys a stable Mediterranean climate, which makes hiking possible almost all year-round. The high-altitude and cooler air of the Troodos Mountains is a good option for hikers who want to explore the island during the hot summer months. Hiking throughout March to May tends to offer milder weather and blooming wildflowers. Hiking through September to November also offers warm but more manageable temperatures.
