Technopolis 20 In Paphos

AN EVENT & CULTURAL CENTRE

Situated in Paphos district, Technopolis 20 has successfully organised and hosted several events since it opened its doors to the public in 2014. Housed in an impressive neo-classical mansion, the event and cultural centre was built by British administrators during British colonial rule in the 1920s. The venue organisers often pride themselves on their affiliation to the performing arts, and they provide support for local artistic and educational programs, collaborating with other external organisations, institutions and individuals who wish to organise events and concerts for the general public. The site itself has a main stage, a studio room and two smaller inter-connecting function rooms, as well as a coffee shop and a large garden area, which is also used to host several summer events and weddings.

THE SHOES THAT TELL FAIRY TALES in Greek

Sunday, September 15th 11.00 am

This fairy tale uses live music and songs performed on stage to tell the story of a child’s physical disability, the mental and spiritual treatment of it and the empowerment through it. The artistic group aims to put on a multifaceted show, where the elements of live music and theatrical play will be integrated interactively, as active but also accompanying aspects of the theatrical action. Elias is a child of joy who faces a big problem… He alone finds a way to overcome his suffering and make his life and those of others around him as beautiful as possible. The shoes, which his father made for him and which he will never use, become an occasion to develop his imagination and give joy to others.
