WHAT IS A LUNA PARK?
Luna parks are small to medium sized static fairgrounds that offers fairground entertainment for the whole family. The idea of the Luna Park came about after village fairs many years ago in Cyprus, offering fun and games were erected during celebrations for saint name days. Some of these fairs remained in place after celebrations ended and became permanent entertainment hubs for locals. Today they have become part of the landscape in Cyprus offering a fusion of fun, food, toys and amusements, hosting wonderful recreational activities and providing entertainment for both children and adults alike.
A POPULAR RECREATIONAL DESTINATION
Vali Amusements founded Parko Paliatso Luna Park in the heart of Ayia Napa in 1999 and it has become one of the most popular recreational destinations in Cyprus. The park has grown into a large venue spanning an impressive 30,000 square metres and it is currently the largest amusement park on the island. Parko Paliatso has a parking facility that can hold up to 300 vehicles and it is free to enter. Most rides are included in the price of a wristband, but some others require the use of tokens. Wristbands are purchased as red premium, silver standard or in a children’s blue format and all offer unlimited daily rides for a set fee making it easy to set a budget.
Premium wristbands include all rides and standard wristbands mainly include the family rides. Children’s wristbands exclusively include the children’s rides, although guardians can accompany small children on rides free of charge. Tokens instead of cash are accepted accordingly for games or rides that are not included under the wristband system and both wristbands and tokens can be purchased from the park’s on-site cashier. The funfair normally operates from April until October opening its doors from 5.00pm until 11.00pm seven days a week, however, its indoor playground, as well as its restaurant remains open all year round, often-hosting birthday parties and other special events.

The Parko Paliatso Luna Park offers a large selection of rides to suit everyone and these include simple children’s rides all the way up to extreme adult rides for the more adventurous. Visitors of all ages are guaranteed fun filled entertainment, promising them plenty of unforgettable moments The restaurant and the numerous kiosks remain open throughout the evenings, constantly offering visitors snacks and refreshments. For younger children there is a large indoor play area with plenty of activities and there are also a number of family age restricted adult rides too.
