ABOUT EVOLUTION DANCE STUDIO
Founded by Laura Hooper in 2020, the Evolution Dance Studio is a Cyprus-based community-focused dance school that aims to blend professional performance experience with expert training. Based in Ayia Napa, the school offers expert training in ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, street dance, jazz and aerial hoop. Since its opening, Evolution has welcomed hundreds of students, from toddlers to adults. The school is dedicated to nurturing talent and strengthening the community through dance. The school today has become a regular fixture at several local events in and around the Ayia Napa area, staging regular dance performances and live shows.
ABOUT LAURA HOOPER
The founder and principal of the school is a professionally accredited instructor who is also a qualified ISTD teacher with over 15 years of experience. She is also the recent recipient of the prestigious Enrico Cecchetti Diploma. Continuing a family legacy of dance education, she is the third generation in her family to run a dance school, maintaining a legacy that dates back to the 1930s. She prides herself on working with children from different backgrounds who speak a range of languages, and her teachings aim to build children’s confidence, creativity, and discipline. Laura teaches a blend of classical and contemporary styles that include aerial hoop. She maintains that dance supports confidence, self-expression and belonging, especially in young people.
