A PRISTINE BEACH IN THE RESORT TOWN OF PROTARAS
Vyzakia Beach is one of the lesser-known Blue Flag beaches in Cyprus, and this small, tranquil coastal gem, located on the south-eastern coast of the Famagusta district, offers a quieter, more intimate setting for all visitors.
This sandy oasis, situated in the green bay area of the popular resort town of Protaras, is unlike the other, more renowned, beaches nearby, such as Fig Tree Bay and Ayia Napa’s Nissi and Makronissos beaches.
Hidden behind lush acacia bushes, the pristine water conditions of this Blue Flag beach are further enhanced by the exceptionally clean environment, which is constantly maintained by the local municipality.
The beach itself is easily accessible on foot via the main Protaras Coastal Promenade. There is also a public car park nearby, and from there, a short, colourful footpath leads directly through the trees down to the cove.

The Shoreline: This beach, which features soft sand blended with unique, eroded rock formations along its edges, consists of a small cove, measuring approximately 80 metres long and 25 metres wide.
Water Conditions: The Mediterranean waters here are remarkably crystal-clear, calm, and shallow. This provides safe swimming conditions that are highly favourable for families with young children.
Snorkelling & Diving: The rocky canyon terrain framing the bay creates a rich habitat for marine life. This serves as a popular spot for coastal snorkelling and introductory scuba diving.
Available Amenities: The beach is semi-organised, meaning it provides essential modern conveniences without feeling overly commercialised.
Loungers & Umbrellas: A limited number of sunbeds and umbrellas are available to hire for a small daily fee.
