The Molos Seafront Promenade In Limassol Cyprus
The Molos Seafront Promenade Also Known as Molos Park

A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT IN THE HEART OF LIMASSOL

Molos Information Panels Clean the Air

Running along the western side of the Limassol seafront, the Molos promenade, also known as the Molos Park, is a popular coastal public space. It is used by several people for various recreational activities throughout the year. Popular activities include walking, biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, and picnicking. The immediate surrounding area is also popular for swimming and water sports. These include kayaking, making it a versatile and well-loved space in the heart of Limassol. The promenade also features an open-air public gym, as well as a large children’s play area. There are also several cafes, allowing all visitors a welcome break. The promenade, which also features a central pier offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, is lined with various works by local and international artists. The works include the famous ‘Frozen Wave’ sculpture by Victor Benato.

THE MOLOS INFORMATION PANELS

The information panels, displayed along the promenade, offer both information and recommendations for activities in and around the Limassol district. They do this by providing QR codes that can easily be scanned into smartphones. These panels also purify the air from harmful pollutants. They do this by effectively reducing levels of PM2.5, NOx, O₃, and VOCs in the air without producing any secondary pollution.

These electric-free innovative display systems use the revolutionary ‘theBreath® technology’. Using advanced sensors, these systems are capable of detecting, analysing, and then responding to elements of airflow. The panels are designed to act on data regarding the volume and composition of chemicals in the airflow. They then take the necessary steps to purify the air.

This technology, which activates functions without any physical interaction, is ideal for sterile environments and public spaces. After successful trials, this technology is being increasingly deployed in various sectors across the island. These include public information systems, health and wellness, entertainment, and smart building interfaces.
