AN OPEN-AIR ART SPACE

The Yeroskipou Sculpture Park is an open-air art space located just off the central square of the village, in the Paphos district. Created in 2017 as part of the legacy project for the Pafos2017 European Capital of Culture initiative, the artworks feature 10 stone sculptures, carved by both local Cypriot and international artists, that were selected through an open competition, which received over 200 applicants from 29 different countries.
The pieces draw inspiration from local history, Cypriot traditions, and the myths and legends of the ancient world. All of the sculptures are carved out of stone sourced from quarries in the Limassol district, and the spacious green area includes walking paths, benches, and a small children’s playground that is open to the public at all times. The entrance and parking areas are wheelchair accessible.
