NUMEROUS 24-HOUR PETROL OUTLETS

Obtaining petrol in Cyprus is generally a straightforward process. There are numerous 24-hour petrol outlets across Cyprus, and they offer a range of convenient services and facilities. All petrol stations offer easy navigation, multiple locations and a 24-hour service, and this helps create a stress-free driving experience across the island.

PETROL ATTENDANTS

Finding a petrol station is relatively easy. Most petrol stations are adequately sign-posted, and most are listed on satellite navigation systems. Petrol station opening times vary, but the majority are open from 6.00 am until 6.00 pm. Petrol attendants dispense fuel by the litre during normal working hours and accept tips from drivers for cleaning windows and topping up engine liquids. Some Petrol stations close early on Wednesday afternoons.

24-HOUR SELF SERVICE MACHINES

All petrol stations on the island operate asĀ 24-hour petrol outlets. They all employ the use of self-service machines that dispense fuel when they are closed. The machines accept all major credit cards or banknotes, but they do not dispense any change. All petrol stations sell two types of petrol and a single type of diesel. Super is the premium petrol version, and 95 is the standard unleaded version. Diesel is sold in a single standard format.

PETROL PRICES

It is important to note that petrol prices in Cyprus vary between different petrol stations, so it is advisable to compare prices before refuelling. It is also essential to follow the local regulations and safety guidelines when refuelling, especially when using the out-of-hoursĀ 24-hour petrol outlets. All petrol stations are designated no-smoking areas. European Union guidelines also dictate that engines should be turned off before refuelling. The use of mobile phones while at the petrol pump is also prohibited.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

As well as operating as 24-hour petrol outlets, some petrol stations also offer additional services. Car wash facilities are common, as well as small convenience stores and coffee shops. These extra facilities are generally available during standard working hours. Some petrol stations also offer services such as key cutting or shoe repair.
