Huge crowds were present to witness the city’s official grand Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Limassol’s Marina Square, ushering in the beginning of this year’s festive season. Festivities began at 4.00 pm on Sunday with festive shows that included live music, songs, and dancing. As the evening set in, the lighting ceremony took place against a large crowd cheer at 6.00 pm. The huge turnout then enjoyed delicious holiday treats whilst perusing the Christmas market. Several children also took part in the interactive arts and crafts workshops and the evening was then topped off with a visit from Santa Claus bearing gifts.
